Aims:

• To further cultural and touristic relationships between France and Canada
• To welcome Canadians who are visiting or staying in the Rhone-Alpes region
• To act in collaboration with the National France-Canada Association in Paris and similar associations across Canada.

History:

• In 1950 a certain number of people wishing to develop Franco-Canadian relationships got together and created the National France-Canada Association, the headquarters of which are in Paris.
  Numerous local committees have since been set up throughout France.
  On March 13^th, 1993, the committee in Lyon was transformed into an independant association, registered at the Prefecture in Lyon. It is affiliated to the National France-Canada Association in Paris.
  
• In Canada in 1971, various associations united to form the Canadian France-Canada Federation, with its headquarters in Montreal.

Membership:

  Members' cards are valid from September through to December of the following year.

Members can also subscribe to "Parallele 48" - the quarterly journal published by the National France-Canada Association in Paris.
